Twist-on Wire Connectors Blue

The DiversiTech blue twist‑on / screw‑on wire connectors are small insulated caps used to join two or more electrical conductors (wires) safely. You strip the ends of the wires, insert them into the connector, and twist the cap, which causes an internal spring or coil to grip the wires and pull them together. These connectors are color coded (blue in this case) to indicate their capacity (wire gauge range, number of wires) and voltage rating.

They are commonly used in HVAC, residential, and light commercial wiring tasks, especially for control wiring, thermostat circuits, low-voltage signals, or general electrical splices. They provide insulation, mechanical protection, and secure electrical contact without soldering or complex terminals.

The blue connectors often have a “deep skirt” design so that no bare wire is exposed, and the thermoplastic shell is designed to resist chemicals (hydrocarbon vapors, dilute acids or alkalis) in HVAC environments.

Some variants include “winged” designs (molded wings or tabs) to improve grip and twisting leverage, especially helpful when working in tight spaces or with more rigid wires.
