A 10kW Electric Heat Kit is an auxiliary electric heating component designed to be installed within an HVAC air handler or electric furnace. It provides up to 10 kilowatts (kW) of electric resistance heating, equating to approximately 34,000 BTUs/hour. These kits are used to supply supplemental or backup heat in residential or light commercial systems, especially in colder climates or where heat pumps are the primary heating method.
