A ½" PSIG brass valve is a low-pressure-rated shut-off valve designed to control the flow of gas or liquid in piping systems operating up to ½ PSIG (0.5 pounds per square inch gauge pressure). These valves are most commonly found in residential and light commercial gas systems, where pressure requirements are low — such as in appliance gas lines (e.g., stoves, dryers, water heaters).

Made of durable brass, these valves provide excellent corrosion resistance, thermal stability, and longevity in gas line applications. Most valves rated for ½ PSIG will comply with CSA or UL standards for gas use.
