NOVENT Multi-Key

The RectorSeal 86698 (also called “Novent Multi‑Key” or “Universal Locking Key”) is a tool used in HVAC / refrigeration systems to install and remove Novent locking refrigerant caps. These caps are placed over service valve Schrader ports to secure them against tampering, unauthorized access, or refrigerant theft or leakage. The locking caps can only be manipulated (installed or removed) using a specialized key. The 86698 version is a “multi‑key” intended to work with all Novent caps rather than a model‑specific key. It is targeted toward professional HVAC technicians, contractors, and service personnel working on air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The purpose is to provide a secure, tamper‑resistant closure of refrigerant service ports, while still allowing authorized service with the proper key.
