2.5T Air Handler Goodman R-410a
Out of stock
An air handler (sometimes called an air handling unit, AHU) is the indoor portion of a split HVAC system whose job is to circulate conditioned air (cooled or heated) through the ductwork of a home or building. It contains the blower (fan), evaporator coil (for cooling), optional heating elements (for electric heat), filters, and control interfaces. Wikipedia +2 Central Air Conditioning +2 A “2.5 ton” rating means the system is sized to handle about 30,000 BTU/hr of cooling load under standard conditions (1 ton = 12,000 BTU/hr). The air handler must supply sufficient airflow (cubic feet per minute, CFM) to match that cooling load, maintain proper indoor comfort (temperature & humidity), and integrate with the outdoor condenser or heat pump unit. Goodman is a common brand; their air handlers are designed for residential / light‑commercial use. They are often “matched” to Goodman condensers for warranty and performance purposes. The “R‑410A” spec you mentioned is the refrigerant used (or once used) in many modern split systems. The air handler generally has an evaporator coil suited for R‑410A (or in newer models, R‑32 or other refrigerants) and is designed to handle the pressures, tubing sizes, and metering devices compatible with it.
